We’re continuing our Convo Series with a discussion about expectations, judgment, approval, and the elusive art of letting go. Together, we’ll explore where our expectations come from, whose opinions still have way too much power over us, what gets easier to release as we get older, and what stubbornly doesn’t. We’ll talk about the difference between genuinely not giving a fuck and merely wanting not to give a fuck, the things we’re finally ready to stop apologizing for, and what might become possible if we loosened our grip on other people’s expectations. Come ready for thoughtful conversation, shared experiences, plenty of humor, and maybe the ceremonial release of a few fucks we never needed to give in the first place.
Our Convo Series meetups are pay-what-you-choose, with a suggested donation of $20 for non-members to help cover facilitation, coordination, and the behind-the-scenes labor that makes these frequent small-group gatherings possible. There are typically anywhere from 6-15 women in attendance. We order communal food for the table, and you’ll also be able to order your own food or drink directly from the venue if you prefer.
We ask that you sign up in advance so we know how many people to reserve a table for—and so we can reach you in the event of last-minute location or time changes. The suggested donation can also be paid via Venmo.
